How to cite articles in Wikipedia in Pleiades references.
Standard Short Titles
The Editorial College maintains individual records for each of the language-specific Wikipedia instances, each with its own short title following the pattern "Wikipedia (Language)". So, for example:
- Wikipedia (Arabic)
- Wikipedia (English)
- Wikipedia (French)
Preferred Citation
When citing a Wikipedia article, indicate as follows. Note that the short title and bibliographic URI refer to the encyclopedia as a whole, not to the article. We do not maintain Zotero records for individual Wikipedia articles.
short title | Wikipedia (English) |
---|---|
citation detail | Benevento |
formatted citation | Wikipedia: the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit (2001-), Benevento. |
bibliographic URI | https://www.zotero.org/groups/2533/items/CI6F6W7W |
access URI | https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benevento |
alternate URI | |
other identifier |
